A seasoned creative director, copywriter and storyteller with more than 20 years corporate, agency and editorial experience, Cathy is also a Paris-trained chef who’s worked in professional kitchens, taught culinary programs, styled food for photo and video, and created recipes for CPG and restaurant clients.
While a culinary student, Cathy first came to understand food’s amazing ability to inspire, delight and, most importantly, bring people together. Since then, she’s done everything cooking up classic French recipes on a camp stove for hungry hunters in the wilds of Wyoming to establishing the social media and in-house culinary creative programs at WhiteWave Foods (now DanoneWave).
She’s worked as a newspaper editor, restaurant critic and food writer, and directed digital and social creative for corporations. She’s helped launch brands, products and restaurants and is never afraid to roll up her sleeves and dig in. Since the beginning of her career, food, writing and adventure have been intertwined.
Cathy’s company, Big Olive Creative, provides copywriting, websites, social media content, recipe dev, food styling, photography and video for national and local brands, restaurants and distillers.
